Wraps


 

Ingredients:

 

1lb chicken breasts, cut into cubes

2 red bell peppers (or 4 red twister peppers)

6 Shoshito peppers (optional)

1 c rice

1 heaped tsp Umami Blends seasoning

1 heaped tsp curry powder

1 heaped tsp chicken bullion

2 c water

1 large red onion

Tortilla Wraps (plain, cheddar jalapeno, tomato basil, or spinach)

1 package broccoli coleslaw mix

1/3 c soy sauce

1/2 c sweet chili sauce

1 to 2 Tblsp garlic chili oil (depends how spicy want it

1/3 c oyster sauce

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

2 tbsp honey

1 heaped tsp cornstarch

1 stick unsalted butter

 


 

 

  1. Prep your veggies and chicken by cutting them all in bite sized pieces
  2. Mix the following ingredients for the sauce in a bowl: ( sweet chili sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, honey, cornstarch, soy sauce, garlic chili oil) and set aside
  3. Sauté onions and peppers salt and pepper lightly because the soy sauce will have plenty of salt, remove veggies and set aside
  4. Brown your chicken and once you have good color, add the veggies back in as well as the sauce and cook until chicken is cooked through and the sauce is thickened.
  5. Rice: add a stick of butter, curry powder, umami blends, and chicken bouillon to the pot and mix it all together. Then add the cup of rice and mix it well with the butter and seasonings, once the rice is toasted add your water, reduce the heat to low cover and let go for 10 to 15 minutes then let set off the heat for 20 mins.
  6. Broccoli coleslaw mix the sauce packet with the slaw.

 

Assembly

 

  1. Take your choice of wrap, heat it in the microwave for about 30 seconds, or you can heat it on the stove top. You just want it to be pliable and warmed through.
  2. Spoon out some rice, then the chicken and peppers, then top with the broccoli slaw and fold in sides and roll up until it's closed up, and enjoy.
