Fettuccine with Meatballs and Marinara Sauce


Ingredients:

Meatballs

1/2 ground hamburger
1/2 ground pork
1/2 c Italian bread crumbs
1/2 c milk
1 egg
2 tbsp garlic
2 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 c Parmesan cheese, grated
1 t onion powder


Marinara Sauce

1 Can crushed red tomatoes
1/2 large red onion
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/3 c water
1/3 c parmesan cheese, grated
salt and pepper to taste










Directions:

1. In a bowl, add your bread crumbs and milk, and set aside to soak.

2. In a large bowl add meat, cheese, seasonings, and egg, once bread crumb mixture is ready, add that in. Mix by hand until all ingredients are well incorporated.

3. Roll into golf ball sized meatballs and place in a baking dish.

4. Brown off meatballs in a skillet, then set aside.

5. Drain off fat from the skillet you browned the meatballs in, add a couple of tablespoons of olive oil and saute the garlic until slightly browned, then add in diced onions and cook until they are soft and translucent. Then add in crushed tomatoes, cook down for about 15 minutes, finish off with parmesan cheese, salt and pepper, and a tablespoon of butter.

Serve with fettuccine noodles
